Necros own? Prove it.
Also, you can make just about anything work in the Arena since it's like 99% scrubs playing there and some skills/builds are better there. However stacking hexes is still useless in the Arena.

have you not been paying attention? They are good because they have DOT that give Them health and even if you have an extra 10 arrows it is just better because they help cancle out a monks healing breeze. So they gain health while killing. HOW IS THIS BAD???

Look. Start learning how to add please. DoTs are overrated. They are good, but you DO NOT want to make a strategy based on DoTs. They gain health while killing what? Newbs? Who cares?
So you think spending energy on multiple DoTs to cancel out a 5 energy spam enchantment is a smart use of your time? Good luck.

DoT hexes are a support, and as a support, they function well enough. They also serve to stack on top of more potent hexes and prevent their removal short of mass hex removal spells.
They ignore armor, don't trigger as many defensive skills as direct attacks do, and with enough points invested, can also be highly energy efficient if worked properly.
(480 HP loss for 10 energy isn't bad, and it's slow enough that people tend to let it go.)

The only useful end game life stealing spell is soul leech. Anything else is laughable.

Good. So you dont want to make a build that relies on hexes for effect since mass removal will destroy all your hard work. You want to stack a few power hexes and move on so single hex removal is still in a bind and mass hex removal isn't going to destroy your entire build in one shot.

Just because something ignores armor doesnt mean its automatically going to be useful.
480 hp loss for 10 energy? off of what hexes? Also no good team is going to let anyone drop to pure DoT damage. You have to be playing vs horrible players for that to happen, and why do we want to discuss things that work vs bad players?

Ok so from this thread I understand now that Necromancers ARE like Warlocks. Warlocks don't do damage as well as a mage, and because of some aspects of WoW the DoT are not effective high level.
I really love the flavour and look of Necromancers, but I don't want the headache of another Warlock.
Maybe I should rethink whether or not I want to buy this game.
